I recently had the pleasure of staying at a charming home-stay in the Calvados region of Normandy. Le Chant Des Fees, nestled in peaceful green surroundings, offered the perfect escape from city life. The beautifully styled bedroom with a comfortable bed made for a restful sleep. The small suite setup, complete with a separate shower/toilet area and a cozy dining space, added to the overall comfort of the stay. I was delightfully surprised by the pre-booked local recipe meal that included a bottle of the delicious local cider. Breakfast in the morning was a treat, served with attention to detail. The owners, who are both artists, had their unique pieces on display throughout the house, adding a touch of bohemian charm to the ambiance.
Can recommend this hotel.

Common lounge with a piano and bookshelves: While staying at this charming hotel, I stumbled upon the common lounge and couldn't resist trying my hand at the piano. As I played a few notes, I felt like a world-class pianist, serenading the bookshelves with my impromptu concert.
Hard to find: Initially, I had some trouble locating the hotel, spending an hour driving around in circles. However, this was mostly my fault for not following the directions provided by the host.

The best aspects of my weekend at this hotel were the charming hosts and the beautifully styled bedroom. The host was absolutely delightful and made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The bedroom was tastefully decorated and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Additionally, the location of the hotel was perfect for a peaceful and relaxing weekend away in the countryside.
The worst aspect of my stay was the lack of a TV and the weak Wi-Fi signal. It would have been nice to have the option to watch some television during my downtime, especially since there wasn't much to do in the area.

This place is truly a hidden gem! The drive to the house was like something out of a movie, with stunning rural surroundings. The hosts were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making sure our stay was a fantastic experience. We had a delicious dinner with tasteful local products, and the breakfast was equally satisfying. The artistic vibe of the house added to its charm, and we enjoyed the company of the cute cats and dogs outside. The hosts were also kind enough to pack us a homemade breakfast to take on the road. A memorable stay indeed!
Finding the place was a bit challenging, as Google Maps led us astray. Luckily, the hosts had sent directions, which we should have followed from the start.
